The Impurities (ケガレ Kegare) are the abnormal irregularities of the Conception series. They are found in the numerous labyrinths in each game and are the main enemies the player encounters.

In Granvania, impurities are released when people interact and will repeatedly coalesce and fuse, becoming malicious demons if left alone. Millennials prior to the series, the Granvania residents borrow the power of the stars where they become grandmages and build Stardust Labyrinths to absorb/conceal all released impurities. However, relationships are an eternal cycle and the Labyrinths cannot hold all the impurities to infinity, thus "Star Wards" are installed onto the dungeons to prevent the overflow.
As of late, the number of impurities being created is much greater than usual. This is partial due to the Impurity Gods imprisoned in each of the seasonal labyrinths. It is to the point where procreation has been outlawed from Granvania until the impurities are controlled at the very least. Only a God's Gift and the Star Children he makes have any chance of slaying them. Anyone else who tries to harm one will have no effect.
They all take on alternate appearances. The boss of a labyrinth, also known as Impurity Gods, usually maintains an individual appearance compared to the other monsters and are naturally the strongest monsters of the labyrinths. Each Impurity God has some physical resemblance to the labyrinth whose namesake they inhabit.
